Oregon Reunion 2013

The minute Jonny walked out of the Bar Exam, we packed up his stuff and hit the freeway for our 9PM flight to Oregon! We celebrated en route that he was done done done! Harrison was a bit slap happy as we got to the airport. He was excited to see daddy and he was tired: funny combination.

We couldn't get him to sit in one place in the terminal.

We eventually made it onto the plane and Harrison continued to impress us with his stamina.

The next morning we hit the ground running and started exploring! Here we are milking Rosa, Rick's goat. Harrison was very intrigued.

Harrison getting a little too friendly with grumpy Riley.

Rick then showed us the new campgrounds he cleared down by the creek.

Harrison wore his trusty boots to explore the lower field and help grandpa drive the car. Boots are a must for this little guy when exploring his grandma and grandpa's farm.

We also said hello to grandpa's trusty steers. They are going to make delicious hamburgers in the fall.

We enjoyed some downtime with the family at the house.

Look at hose hydrangeas! These were bursting with color in Ashley's yard.

We took a trip into town with Mia. These two crack me up.

Helping dad mow the lawn.

Grandma's new miniature horse named Bouquet of Roses. We like to call her Bow.

While I was admiring little Bow, Jonny took off with Harrison and ran through the sprinklers. Could they look any happier?

Proof of the mayhem

They did it again and Harrison's shirt had to come off. Running through the sprinklers shirtless is much more fun.

The poor guys were tired the next morning....

Ain't nobody got time to sleep in when there is a reunion afoot! There were blackberries to be picked.

Proof of the picking.

Then we all convened down at Grandma Mills' house for the grand Mills Reunion.

Aunt Dana has a horse too and so we took a ride.

Lots of us ventured down to the creek to try out the new swimming hole Rick found by the campground.

On our way back, I decided that it was my turn to take Harrison through the sprinklers.

Later that evening, we all went to Uncle Mike's house for hot dogs and a potluck.

Harrison and cousin Elsa

Harrison loves babies. He especially loves his baby cousin Henry.

The rest of the pictures in this post are from the days following the reunion. Harrison played Tom Sawyer to Owen's Huck Finn.

Driving grandpa's tractor out by the garden.

Cousin Scarlette love!

Kristi hosted a tea party for the little cousins. Harrison had about ten cups of the homemade tea.

 These three boys are trouble!

Trying out grandma's blueberries.

Walking down to the creek, using the same path his dad used when he was a little boy.

I decided to try my hand at a blackberry crisp.

Delicious!

Last picture of our adventure before we went to the airport. "Tractor Grandpa" even let Harrison have his John Deere hat! We loved being in Oregon this summer and are grateful for our dear family there!
